If there is one element to which humanity can ascribe its success to date – apart from the opposable thumb and a large dose of luck, it is knowledge.

The spread of knowledge – of new tools, ideas and technical skills – has slowly accumulated ever since our ancestors first roamed the plains of Africa to the point where we, as a species, have achieved such recent wonders as discovering penicillin, splitting the atom, exploring space and mapping the human genome.

Now knowledge is many things to different people. For some it is a treasure, to others, power, while others sees it as the foundation of wisdom. Einstein thought “a little knowledge was a dangerous thing. So is a lot.” Whatever your view on this remarkable substance, you must agree that knowledge is essential for us to make sense of the world in which we live and to continue to drive and shape economic growth and activity.

So, in the spirit of spreading knowledge, we at Allianz invite you to share our knowledge in the hope that you, a recognised leader in your field, may share your knowledge with us.

With Open Knowledge, Allianz is offering a portal where like-minded organisations, companies and individuals can share their thoughts, ideas and well-grounded opinions on topics of mutual interest – demography, finance, mobility, the environment – to the benefit of all involved.

We hope you will join us in the free exchange of knowledge, as have other leading institutions and thinkers already have, and place your knowledge before a vast global audience numbering more than a million readers.
