Access to Services
From Wikiprogress.org
Overview
Access to services could have different types of meaning to different people. Globally, things like access to health and education are considered fundamental human rights. However, for people living in "developing" countries, access to services can mean access to basic services like water and sanitation facilities, whereas for people in "developed" countries, it can mean access to childcare services, aged care facilities or public transport. In many developed countries, access to a phone line is considered an essential service. For people with disabilities, access to services would mean not being disadvantaged by their disability, to be able to "access" things the same way as someone without a disability. So how do we measure "access to services"?
