Freshwater Statistics

This page will supply some databases related to Freshwater. From these data, it will be possible to make statistical treatments to establish by Countries, Regions, or continents, an overview about freshwater. But, after all, what's freshwater and why it's interesting to learn about, understand and evaluate progress ? First of all, freshwater designates a drinkable water.
The table below, called annual water abstraction by source and by sector (mio m³/year), gives the total volume of fresh water abstracted by countries and for all European Union. It's also possible to recover data about access to an improved water source.
