Overview

The Global Subsidies Initiative (GSI) was created in 2005 by the International Institute for Sustainable Development in the view of analyzing the impact of national subsidies on sustainable development issues.

The GSI aims to encourage national governments to reform their subsidies policies by incorporating economic, social and environmental actors so as to eradicate trade-distorting and environmental externalities.
