About
OMEP World Organization for Early Childhood Education is an international, non-governmental and non-profit organisation. OMEP is active in all aspects of Early childhood Education and care (ECEC). The organisation works for the defense and the promotion of the rights of the child to education and care worldwide and give their support to access improvements to high quality education and care. The organisation is present in 60 member countries and represented at UNESCO and UNICEF meetings and of other international organisations with similar aims.
Activities
OMEP is involved in research and study about ECEC, organises international and regional conferences, publishes research and innovative practices through the International Journal of Early Childhood and encourages initiatives related to ECEC personnel training and family education.
